About Lisa

Hi, I’m Lisa.
I’m an artist and Joy-fluencer with a deep love for color, coffee, and creating art that feels like a little burst of sunshine. Whether you're here to explore my work, peek into my process, or just see what’s blooming in the studio, I’m so glad you stopped by.

Artist Bio

I’ve been a maker since middle school, but I became a painter during the pandemic, at a time when I desperately needed a reason to get out of bed. Daily painting became my lifeline. Even on the hardest days, I’d wake up early, excited to put my brushes to work. Over time, I realized how much art helped me shift the weight of living with active cancer into something more hopeful. There are days I feel completely miserable until I start painting. My energy transforms as I build up layers of acrylic paint, paper, and sometimes fabric, working around the chaos until a subject emerges. That layered process feels a lot like life: messy, unpredictable, and somehow beautiful.

People often tell me my work makes them feel happy, nostalgic, or more connected - whether it’s silly birds that make them smile head to toe, or flowers that remind them of planting with their grandma. One collector told me she bought a flower-in-a-coffee-can painting for her kitchen and loved it so much, she came back to buy a matching mini for her daughter. “Even if we're far apart,” she said, “we can look at them and feel like we're together.” That’s the kind of connection I’m after. I paint colorful, whimsical, joy-filled work not to ignore the hard stuff, but to move through it. My art may be bright and playful, but it’s also layered with emotion, effort, and deep intention. And if it brings even a tiny bit of beauty, breath, or lightness to someone else’s space—that’s everything to me.

I always love hearing from fellow art lovers, collectors, or anyone just popping in.
